No Longer Living Out of Bags

When I was twelve, my older brother and I were placed in foster care. Initially, we were in a home together, but shortly after, we were separated. Our mother passed away a year later, so going back home was no longer an option. In this picture, we hadn't seen each another in a while and met up to place flowers on her burial site. By this point, I was moved in and out of 3-4 homes and didn't have much stability. There were questions related to my ability to care for my son and the possibility of placing him in someone else's care. Absolutely NOT!! I used my resources and was determined to take care of him and keep him by my side. In total, I was placed in 7 different homes, but I am BLESSED to say, "I am no longer living out of bags!" 💖🙏🏼💖🙏🏼 #fostercareawarenessmonth
